Just a few kilometers north from La Rioja is where Izki Golf is located.

Izki is one of the most outstanding golf course in Northern Spain, in the heart of the Basque country. Situated in the Natural Park of Izki, in the mountain area of Alava, it was designed by the golf master himself, Seve Balleteros, the Izki golf course is a complete innovation in golf architecture. The lines of its spectacular holes and wide-open fairways surrounded by oak and beach trees, makes playing golf a unique experience. Discover nature in its purest form on fairways that have been designed to blend into the environment with the least possible disruption. Golfing here when the colors of autumn are ablaze can be a magical experience.

Just north from where Duero river runs is Lerma Golf Course.
Situated half an hour south of Burgos, the Lerma Golf Course was built in 1992 on an old hunting estate of 220 hectares called La Andaya. Here you will discover the simplicity of the Castilian countryside. Created by the Spanish architect José Gancedo, the fairways are wide, and the bunkers cleverly positioned. Many of the holes are sheltered from the strong winds that blow frequently across the land, by forests to the north and south. It is not uncommon to spot hares dashing across the fairway or flocks of geese and ducks resting in one of the 8 ponds and two streams scattered across the course.

To the east of the home of cava, region of Catalonia, PGA Catalunya Resort is one of Europe’s leading modern golf resorts with two excellent courses. Not far away, Golf de Pals is a tight, tree-lined course right next to the beach. Here, the umbrella pines put a premium on accuracy rather than length. Meanwhile, located near Tarragona is the large-scale Lumine Beach & Golf Community, which has three remarkably varied and different courses on site. The Lakes is a Greg Norman design, which runs between lakes and marshland; the Hills is an undulating parkland course that offers up lovely vistas; and finally the Ruins is a delightful nine-hole par-34 course running through an ancient Roman archaeological site.

Somontano’s impressive and unique natural heritage includes the spectacular Sierra and Canyons of Guara Natural Park, where, for millions of years, rivers, rain and wind have carved out deep canyons and ravines to form a unique landscape, the only one of its kind in Europe and a genuine paradise for nature lovers and adventure sports enthusiasts. Spring, when the vine shoots are appearing and temperatures are warming up, allowing you to do all sorts of outdoor activities, such as hiking or mountain biking through the countryside or trying your hand at adventure sports in the Sierra de Guara ravines, all guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping.
